Cascade's Gardner on All-State team (High School Sports ~ 07/01/15)
After leading Cascade to an improbable finish in the Class AA baseball tournament that left the Champions as the third-best team in the state, senior Sam Gardner earned all-state honors for his efforts as the Champion ace pitcher. Gardner finished with an 8-2 overall record and a 0.94 ERA. He struck out 100 batters while walking just 22 in 67.1 innings pitched... -
Local graduate makes art donation (Local News ~ 07/01/15)
Local artist and 2015 Shelbyville Central High School graduate Amellaly Lopez recently donated a few pieces of her original art work to Assistant Principal Michael McCoin at the CTE Annex at Central High School. Amellaly is a member of DECA and the Art Society at Central and has had her artwork displayed locally at the Fly Arts Center in Shelbyville. Woman pulled by hair from home, hit with pistol

A man who allegedly pulled a woman to his truck by her hair, fired his pistol and threatened to shoot her neighbor Sunday night faces multiple charges. Morris Winfrey has been making the Times-Gazette a fun place to work for five decades. In other words, Winfrey has been cutting up with his co-workers and newspaper vendors and customers for half a century. The T-G held a reception Tuesday to honor Winfrey's milestone. No tax hike for Cascade: Commissioners hold rate steady (Local News ~ 07/01/15)
Bedford County Board of Commissioners, in a special called end-of-fiscal year meeting, decided not to increase the property tax rate by 35 cents to get a faster start on construction of a new Cascade High School.
