Claude Hollis Frazier, 85, of Manchester died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Medical Center of Manchester. A celebration of life memorial service for Mr. Frazier and his wife, Juanita Anderson Frazier, who died in 2012, will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Central Funeral Home in Manchester.

Jackie Dugan Taylor, 91, of Winchester, a native of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Friday at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Driver runs after attempted traffic stop

Police are searching for a driver they say ran away after a short vehicle pursuit Tuesday night. The suspect, identified by police as Darius "Down Low" Lewis, was last seen running away from an apartment complex on Dunnaway Street. Officers were looking for Joey "Jeep" Scribner of Columbia. Authorities there said Scribner, wanted for attempted murder and aggravated robbery, might be with Lewis, who drives a white Oldsmobile Alero and lives on Jarrell Street...

CLARIFICATION: Businesses in the sidewalk construction area of Depot Street are open for business. A photo caption stating the sidewalks were closed was based on barriers and "sidewalk closed" signs visible. Pathways are available for access. Depot Street is temporarily closed to vehicle traffic during the day while new sidewalks are being constructed. But this horse looks like it's ready to roll.
