A Shelbyville bar was hit hard in a burglary overnight Monday. The safe was pried at The Hide-Away, Plastics Avenue, and money taken, Shelbyville police said. The cash register was stolen along with money from three new pool tables. A case of Bud Light beer and six cell phone chargers were also stolen and an ATM entered but no money taken, according to the report...

Students observe Patriot Day (Local News ~ 09/17/15)
Shelbyville Central High School and the National Honor Society recently celebrated Patriot Day (Sept. 11) by recognizing faculty and staff members who have served in the military. Students also signed a banner thanking those in Bedford County who are serving and have served in the military for their service. The banner will be presented to the local VFW post.
