Cascade wins at events (Local News ~ 11/17/15)
Cascade High School Marching Band, under the direction of David Lucich, recently traveled to Stewarts Creek High School and competed for the Division II State Marching Band Championship with their show "Mana-Tiki." A total of 21 bands participated with only 10 making it to finals. In preliminary competition, Cascade's color guard took second place. In final competition Cascade's band took third place.... -
Alleged purse thief caught on return trip

A suspect who stole a purse from a vehicle at Legends, North Main Street, was caught by employees as he returned a few minutes later to attempt another theft, Shelbyville police were told Sunday night. Jody Wayne Pruitt, 38, of nearby Wheeler Street told police he found the door unlocked, saw the purse inside and took it to his home. A Legends employee said she looked outside a few moments later, saw Pruitt attempting to enter another vehicle and told co-workers, who held him for police...
