Marine completes boot camp (Other Record ~ 02/04/16)
Pvt. Samuel Earl Rich, 19, of Shelbyville, graduated from U.S. Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, on Jan. 29. Rich, a 2015 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, successfully completed 13 weeks of intense basic training as a member of Platoon 3014, Co. K, Third Recruit Training Battalion. Following 10 days home on leave, Rich will report to Camp Geiger, North Carolina, School of Infantry East / Infantry Training Battalion, for military occupation specialty school. 231 North crash (Local News ~ 02/04/16)
The driver of the car at right was seriously injured following a crash on U.S. 231 North at Squire Hall Road shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday. As of Thursday morning the Tennessee Highway Patrol had not released names of those involved. Motlow sees improvements in remedial students results
