Basketball stars (Local News ~ 03/18/16)
Lydia Darnell's class at Community Middle School recently competed in the Special Olympics at Motlow State Community College. The students competed in basketball and were assisted by the Motlow men's and women's basketball teams. The students did an incredible job and came home with a trophy. Woman, daughter injured in accident

A Wartrace woman and her daughter were seriously injured in a traffic accident Thursday morning on U.S. 231 in Rutherford County near Christiana. Rhonda Jones, 40, and her daughter Lulu, 4, are hospitalized, investigators said. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Rhonda Jones was northbound when she lost control of her van, overcorrected, and ran off the right side of the roadway. An anonymous donor will match public contributions to Imagination Library of Bedford County up to $4,000 through the month of April.
