Pastor heads relief effort for Ecuador

Local minister and Ecuador native David Carrera is organizing earthquake relief for his native country. The quake, which hit Saturday night, has killed at least 262 people and injured thousands along the coast of the South American country. Dr. Albert Eugene Caffey Jr., 90, died Thursday, April 21, 2016. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Allen Cross and Rev. Lanita Monroe officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Roselawn Cemetery in Murfreesboro. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
