Lehighton Reed, 83, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gowen-Smith Chapel with Tom Henry and Tom Bierovic officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Guns, radar detectors stolen

Guns and radar detectors were stolen from three vehicles at separate Narrows Road homes overnight Monday, Shelbyville police said. A Glock 27 pistol, Kimber Super Carry Ultra HD pistol, automotive diagnostic scanner and radar detector had been in two unlocked vehicles at one home and two radar detectors and four bank receipts in one truck at another, reports said...

With a repaired flume and roadway on Lane Parkway and a new jail coming to replace the old one at left, it looks like downtown Shelbyville may be at the end of the rainbow. A Shelbyville man is among 11 arrested following a two-year investigation of a large marijuana trafficking operation covering much of Middle Tennessee, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday.
