Money taken from car on White Street

Money was taken from an unlocked vehicle at a White Street residence between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday, police were told. Approximately $30 in bills and change are missing, the victim said. Meal, auction will benefit Smotherman

Brenda L. Parker Parsons, 66, of the Halls Mill community, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Tommy Dye and Billy Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Crowells Chapel Cemetery.
