Council won't decide compensation for utility board

The Shelbyville City Council's dealings with the local utility board of directors continues to be politically charged. The council voted down a proposed ordinance by 3-2 Thursday that would have allowed it to "establish compensation for citizen members of the Shelbyville Power, Water & Sewerage board of directors." The ordinance was on its second and final reading.
