Lynchburg pharmcist charged with theft

An investigation by special agents with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment and arrest of a Moore County pharmacist on a charge of theft. TBI special agents and agents with the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General, along with the Moore County Sheriff's Office, began investigating Robert Gray in January 2015. Angry woman takes 2 officers down with her

A woman angry about being arrested, among other things, knocked two officers to the ground and kicked the door handle mechanism off a patrol car Saturday, police said. Cynthia Elaine Mayer, 34, of Earnhart Street tripped at one point while being escorted to the car, taking officers Jerry Lawrence and Chris Vest down with her shortly after hitting Vest in the chest.
