Betty Jane Warner, 88, of Bell Buckle died Saturday morning, Dec. 31, 2016 at The Waters of Shelbyville after an extended illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Doak-Howell Funeral Home.

Karen Sue Nichols, 64, of Shelbyville died Friday, December 30, 2016, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Per her request she will be cremated. There will be no services held. Hillcrest Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Command Sergeant Major (Retired) John P. Whitson, age 83, of Shelbyville, died Friday, December 30, 2016. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel with Lloyd Warren and Jim Tedder officiatkng. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
