Richard Russell Judd Sr., age 56, of Shelbyville, passed this life on Saturday, February 10, 2017. A native of Keene, New Hampshire, he was born April 1, 1960, to Esther Cunningham and the late Fredrick R. Judd Jr. He is survived by his loving mother, Esther Cunningham; his children, Kevin Judd of Shelbyville, Jennifer Judd, Matthew Judd and Richard Judd Jr., all of New Hampshire; one brother, Eugene Judd of New Hampshire; five sisters, Susan LeLoach of Alabama, Nancy Barr, Betty Pillsbury, Sherry MacDougall, all of New Hampshire, and Karen Jarels of Vermont; three grandchildren; several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.. ...

Josie Piephoff of Shelbyville is the first winner from the “Buy Four” contest connected with local Girl Scout Cookie sales. For each four boxes of Girl Scout cookies purchased, the buyer is entered into a contest to win one package of each variety of cookies. One name is drawn each weekend during the cookie-selling season. Girl Scouts will sell cookies each weekend in February at Walmart, Kroger, 82 Market in Bell Buckle, Wartrace General Store, Heritage South Community Crédit Union and other businesses.
