Final cookie winner (Local News ~ 03/02/17)
Barbara Kalish, not pictured, was the final giveaway winner from among local Girl Scout cookie customers. This weekend at Walmart, local scouts will sell the remaining cookies from this year’s sale — your last chance to get them until next year. Suspicious persons at shoe store get the boot

In reference to suspicious persons, Shelbyville Officers Bruce Davis and John Cooke arrived at Shoe Show. Upon arrival Davis observed Cooke inside the store speaking with Johnny Jones Jr. and Angel M. Herman. Bell Buckle will observe Daffodil Day on March 18, with activities from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. This is the 40th annual Daffodil Day, but the literal seeds for the observance were planted more than a century ago, when daffodils were planted along the roads leading in to Bell Buckle.
