Cascade band performs at Disney World (Local News ~ 03/29/17)
The Cascade High School Band went to Walt Disney World last week and participated in Disney’s Your Instrumental Workshop. The band sight read and played music from different Disney soundtracks including “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” “Duel of the Fates,” one of the theme songs from “Beauty and the Beast” and a collection of songs from “Tarzan.” They also marched in the main parade through Magic Kingdom. Each student received official Disney Performing Arts mouse ears as a gift from Disney for participation. -

School, jail move forward (Local News ~ 03/29/17)
The county continues to make progress towards launching its two big building projects -- a new jail/justice center, and a new Cascade High School, according to reports at Tuesday evening's meeting of Bedford County Financial Management Committee.
