Reelin’ for a Cure

Calsonic Kansei will be hosting its third annual Reelin’ for a Cure fishing tournament on Saturday, April 15 at Tims Ford Bass Club. Entry fee is $50 per boat, with a two person maximum. A seventh-inning rally fell a little short as Shelbyville Central fell 3-2 to visiting Glenbrook North (Ill.) in the Warrior Classic on Thursday afternoon. The oldest DC-3 aircraft still in operation, the Flagship Detroit, will be in Shelbyville for the next few weeks and is offering rides here April 5, 6 and 7, as it celebrates its 80th anniversary year. Retired American Airlines pilot George Dennis of Shelbyville is the founder of the Flagship Detroit Foundation, which is charged with preserving the aircraft and its history.
