Verbal tennis champion (Local News ~ 04/16/17)

First Responder (Local News ~ 04/16/17)
Cascade FFA member Jonathan Parker recently received his certification to become a State First Responder and a National First Responder. Jonathan completed a two month First Responder course and passed the National Boards. He has been recently added to the Bedford County EMS. This summer, Jonathan plans to start the EMT program at Columbia State Community College in pursuit of an associate’s degree in Emergency Medicine. In addition, he will be working towards acquiring his Paramedic License. (Submitted photo) -
HOSA competitors (Local News ~ 04/16/17)
Several HOSA members from Cascade High School participated in the 40th Annual HOSA State Competition recently in Chattanooga. Four of these students made it to the stage, and three are moving on to International Competition. Kenzi Hockaday and Raven Walker placed 3rd in Health Career Display and Morgan McCune placed 1st in Medical Reading. This is the third year in a row that Cascade has made it to the International Level. The International Competition will be in June at Walt Disney World. Bedford County FFA wins state title in meat judging event (Local News ~ 04/16/17)
On Saturday, April 8, the Bedford County FFA of Shelbyville Central High School competed in the Tennessee FFA State Meat Judging Event held at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. The team placed 1st in the state and will represent Tennessee, SCHS and Bedford County at the National FFA Competition to be held in October in conjunction with the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. ... -
