The Shops at Main & McGrew holds ribbon-cutting (Business ~ 05/31/17)
The Shops at Main & McGrew, 100 South Main St., held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening on Friday. The building, once Shelbyville’s post office and more recently its public library, has been lovingly restored and is now an antique mall with a variety of booths and vendors. Alex and Danielle Armbruster hold the ceremonial scissors, while Reeni Dee and Mike Lagunovich hold the ribbon. STA expands camps to youth, adults (Community Sports ~ 05/31/17)
For several years now, the popularity of tennis has grown among competitive players in Bedford County—so much that area players travel to Shelbyville to compete in the summer leagues and Junior Team Tennis. While those programs offer tennis at a highly-competitive level, the Shelbyville Tennis Association also offers a chance for beginners to learn the basics and get a foot in the door for this life sport... -

Suspect says he planned to return stolen bicycle

The man who told police he rode a mountain bike away from a West Lane Street home Monday night told police he intended to return it. But Kristopher Paul Henson, 29, of Cedar Grove Street was charged with theft. Henson was stopped moments later on West Jackson Street by officer Letisia Butler.
