Suspect doesn't get far with stolen bicycle

The Tennessee State Library and Archives, under the Secretary of State’s office, presented the Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library with a replica check for $8,988 Tuesday. The grant will buy laptops and provide training for instructors, who will teach computer skills to library patrons, particularly seniors and veterans, said director Rita Allen. The funds represent one of the larger amounts provided in this round of grants, Secretary of State Tre Hargett said. Water Safety Day teaches caution (Local News ~ 06/07/17)
The ninth annual Water Safety Day will be held Saturday at Shelbyville Recreation Center. The event, which runs from 9-11 a.m., includes pool safety rules and demonstrations, swimming pool games, music and door prizes.
