Suspect charged in robbery at motel on Madison

A suspect has been charged in the robbery of a Shelbyville man at a local motel in May. Branson Isaiah Freeland, 19, of Whitaker Road was arrested Sunday by Shelbyville police detective Sam Jacobs. Freeland allegedly entered an unlocked door at Budget Motel, Madison Street, knocked unconscious a man on a bed and took his wallet and two cellphones.
