Advocating for animal welfare (Local News ~ 06/27/17)
The inaugural Spay Initiative Luncheon was held Friday at the Shelbyville-Bedford County Chamber of Commerce. The event was a gathering of animal welfare agencies throughout Middle Tennessee to discuss pet population control efforts. Bedford County Mayor Eugene Ray was a guest speaker. At left is Kimberly Warren, director of the Middle Tennessee Spay & Neuter Clinic. -

On June 20 the Unionville FCE Club met with Nell Holden calling meeting to order reading "A Traveling Blessing." Jean Fausnaught had a devotional article "Overcome the Danger of Doubt." The educational lesson was by Ashley Hillsman, intern under Whitney Danholf. Her topic was on Picnic Plans and how to pack cold and hot items to keep from spoilage. Grandfather sends $4,000 'bail' to scammers

False statements from a scammer led a Bedford County man to buy $4,000 worth of gift cards, thinking he was bailing his grandson out of jail. A man claiming to be "Sgt.
