Gunshots destroy A/C unit at county church

The bullets completely destroyed the central heat and air system of the Midland Road church, according to a Bedford County Sheriff's Office report. The Sharks entered the championship meet after an unbeaten romp through the regular season schedule. The Webb School’s varsity boys’ basketball team traveled to Winston-Salem, N.C. to attend Danny Manning’s Wake Forest Basketball Camp on June 23-24. The Feet went 5-0 and won the small school division. “It was a nice way to end our summer camp season” said Webb Head Coach Jeff Mitchell. “The big upside was them seeing a great college campus and interacting with coaches and trainers that are not only at the division I level, but in the ACC — probably the best basketball conference in the NCAA.”... -

Hot blaze on a steamy day (Local News ~ 07/21/17)
Shelbyville firefighters braved 95-degree heat to douse a fire in a detached garage at the Grady McGee home on Whiteside Street late Thursday afternoon.
