Lowe's assists Harris Head Start (Business ~ 11/30/17)
The Lowe’s Heroes program from the Shelbyville Lowes store # 1767 partnered with Harris Head Start and completed renovations for the playground over the summer. They planted new foliage around the playground. They made much needed repairs and added new play equipment for the natural playground which included a mock “Lowes” store playhouse, a new sandbox, a rock climber, a swinging balancing bridge, and a new car. The members that worked on the project visited Harris on Nov. 16 to meet the children and see them in action on the new playground. (Submitted photo) -
Cub Scouts hold can drive (Local News ~ 11/30/17)
Cub Scout Pack 476 wrapped up its month-long service project gathering cans and other food stuff for donation to a food pantry operated by Living Water Church in Unionville. Jenny Cantrell, the pantry coordinator, noted that, after Thanksgiving, the pantry needed help being restocked.
