Heavy damage but no injuries (Local News ~ 01/09/18)
Two vehicles sustained heavy damage in a collision at the intersection of U.S. 41A South and Mullins Mill Road Tuesday at about 7:30 a.m. Neither driver was injured and both were up and walking around. The vehicles involved were a Toyota Corolla and a Ford pickup. Police discussed the possibility that two other vehicles that may have precipitated the accident had left the scene. Man tries to strangle girlfriend

Charges were filed against a man who allegedly tried to strangle his girlfriend with her bra straps Saturday during an argument. Julius Dominique Guinn, 31, of Tanner Circle was arrested at his home after an officer noticed two abrasions on the woman's neck. Guinn was charged with aggravated domestic assault and, after allegedly calling the girlfriend while she was at the judicial commissioner's office, with violation of an order of protection. He was being held on $17,000 bond Monday...
