Bedford County Soil Conservation District went to the Boys & Girls Club of Bedford County this year to teach the kids how to make Soil Babies. Soil Babies consist of taking a knee-high stocking, adding seed in the toe, filling with potting soil, forming it into a ball and decorating. Drug suspect didn't know how he got to home

A man who showed up at a home on U.S. 41A North near Rover in a confused state Saturday morning was charged with possession of a schedule II drug and paraphernalia, authorities said. Joel Ada Chrisman, 33, of Warner Bridge Road told Bedford County deputy Jared Featherstone he didn't know where he was or how he got there. Featherstone's report says one gram of a "crystal-like substance that appeared to be methamphetamine in ice form" was found in Chrisman's car along with a torch and glass pipes...
