Mom, daughter accused of taking mannequin head (Local News ~ 10/25/18)
A mother and daughter are suspected of taking a mannequin head with human hair from a beauty supply store in June, Shelbyville police were told Tuesday. The owner of Kim’s Beauty Supply, North Main Street, told police a video shows a girl believed to be a Central High School student and her mother taking the mannequin head June 22. The incident was not reported earlier because the victim didn’t have information on suspects, she told police... -
Quilt of Valor (Local News ~ 10/25/18)
A Quilt of Valor was presented to Paul Eugene Cunningham at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rover on Sunday, following a surprise 85th Birthday dinner. Janice Lewis presented the recognition from the Quilt of Valor Foundation to Cunningham, who served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. Fall comes alive at sorority fashion show (Features ~ 10/25/18)
Beta Iota Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha held its 40th annual fashion show and dinner last week at First United Methodist Church. Over 200 tickets were sold and there was a packed house. Proceeds will be used for scholarships for local students and to contribute to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis... -
Lung screenings offered Nov. 15

Community Clinic of Shelbyville and Bedford County will provide free lung screenings Nov. 15 from 9 am to 3 p.m. This is a partnership with the CHI Memorial Lung Cancer Screening Program from Chattanooga. Patients are required to be between the ages of 55-80 years old, either be a current smoker or have quit within the past 15 years and have smoked in the range of a pack a day for 30 years (or two packs per day for 15 years), have no signs of lung cancer and no chest CT in the past 12 months...

"The Merchant of Venice" to be presented by Webb

One week in, early voting proves heavy (Local News ~ 10/25/18)
It took only seven days for the early vote total for the Nov. 6 election to pass the overall early vote total for the comparable midterm elections in both 2010 and 2014.
