Suspects admits taking employer’s cash

An employee of a Shelbyville convenience store admitted taking money from a bank deposit bag last week, police said. Toney Lee Walton, 29, of South Thompson told police he needed the $390 taken from Quick Mart, North Cannon Boulevard, to pay rent. Walton, who was fired over the incident, was captured on security video taking the deposit bag from a safe to the kitchen, then returning it seconds later around 2 a.m. Thursday, officer Sam Campbell’s report said...
