Tax hike proposal rejected (Local News ~ 01/23/19)
Bedford County Financial Management Committee voted Tuesday night to recommend that the county commission rescind its vote earlier this month to increase the Adequate Facilities Tax. The commission did not have the right to increase the tax because the county's growth fell just shy of the targets set by state law.
