A Haskins Chapel Road resident who noticed a pistol missing from his vehicle in late October or early November now thinks it was stolen. The gun’s owner says searches have proven fruitless. Peggy Annette Marshall Newsom, 61, of Shelbyville died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Rob McKamey officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
