Reed speaks to Vietnam veterans (Local News ~ 02/08/19)
Bedford County Register of Deeds Johnny Reed spoke at the January Vietnam Era Veterans group meeting. He gave those at the meeting a history of how the county was established and the various courthouses. He also encouraged veterans, who have not already done so, to record their DD Form 214 (discharge document) for free at his office. Since it is one of the most valuable military service records a veteran owns, having it recorded at the court house will help if the original document is lost. The group will meet Feb. 14 at El Mexico on North Main Street. For more information, call Tom Taylor at 931-684-2557. (Submitted photo) -
