Former Bell Buckle Mayor Jenny Hunt says that Food Network will tape the pilot episode of a new competition show, "Snack Attack," during the RC Cola/Moon Pie Festival on June 15 in Bell Buckle. The town hasn't yet been given all of the details, but Hunt said her understanding is that the show will have a competitive format, not unlike "Chopped" or other Food Network competition shows, but will focus on snack items and each episode will be shot at a food festival or other snack-themed location... -

Several hours of heavy rain -- a "frog-strangler,' to use an old Southern expression -- resulted in minor flash flooding Wednesday across many areas of Bedford County.
