The Strength In Numbers team in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life will hold a dance and live auction Saturday at the Blue Ribbon Circle on the Celebration grounds. The event will run from 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., with music by the Buck Wild Band (Kelson Buck, Ron Christy, John Stewart, David Travis and Kenny Dunn). The auctioneer will be Dylan Sain of Craig & Wheeler Realty & Auction. The event will alternate between periods of live music and live auction. New state social studies standards, based on responsible citizenry, will be implemented in the 2019-2020 school year, Bedford County Board of Education members learned during its recent monthly meeting.
