FCB promotes financial literacy (Business ~ 04/24/19)
First Community Bank has a Teen Advisory Group group that meets monthly, composed of juniors and seniors from local high schools. The bank has presented a Teach Kids To Save program for third graders at Eakin, Learning Way, Southside and Eastside elementary schools, reaching over 300 students. It is a program that addresses saving money and the difference in needs and wants. Representatives also spoke at the Middle Tennessee Business Networking group and talked about money, fraud and responsibilities. FCB also promotes the Banzai Financial Literacy Program at Shelbyville Central High School to sophomores enrolled in personal finance classes. MANCHESTER — Shelbyville Central couldn’t find the needed offense to crack Coffee County pitcher Keri Munn on Tueday night. Munn kept the Eaglettes whiffing at the plate and Coffee County blanked Shelbyville Central, 5-0.
