Local high school student leads protest (Local News ~ 05/30/19)
Anna Allison, front row left, of Bell Buckle, led a group of high school students in a protest Friday at the Legislative Plaza in downtown Nashville. The protest was directed at U.S. warfare in the Middle East. Allison is a junior at The Webb School. Her mother, Nicole Allison, said that the protestors respectfully waited until after a veterans memorial service, with Gov. Liberty FCE Club met May 20. Linda Jernigan presided. Bonnye Catron read the call to order, "The Gettysburg Address." Dorris Turrentine gave the devotion. Roll was called with nine members present. Minutes were read and approved. In the sunshine report, Lynn Wilhelm and Barbara Green had birthdays. The club decided to make a Crab Delight buffalo dip for the Share Fair in July...

Thousands of dollars, ATM stolen from carnival (Local News ~ 05/30/19)
The carnival visiting Shelbyville last week wasn't so much fun for its operator, who ordered two men to stop attempting to steal an ATM -- and realized another one was already gone. Destinations & Diversions: Relay For Life to be held this weekend (Entertainment ~ 05/30/19)
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life will take place 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday at Bedford County Agriculture and Education Center on Midland Road. Although there will be registered teams walking the oval track, this is a family-friendly public festival, open to everyone, with concessions and special activities. There's no charge for admission or parking, although some individual activities have fees or charges... -
