Suspect accused of stealing credit card (Local News ~ 06/19/19)
One of two men police suspect used a stolen credit card was arrested Tuesday. An app alerted the victim that his card was being used for a $207.90 purchase of two gift cards at Roses on Tuesday. FFA competes in dairy events (Local News ~ 06/19/19)
On June 14, the Bedford County FFA of Shelbyville Central High School traveled to Middle Tennessee State University to compete in the Middle Tennessee FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation CDE and the Middle Tennessee FFA Dairy Handling Invitational Event. The Dairy Cattle Evaluation team placed seventh in the Middle Tennessee Region. The team members were Ian Alcox, Nick Moore, Dorothy Brandon and Nancy Diaz. Allison Davis participated in the Middle Tennessee FFA Dairy Handling Invitational that took place during the Dairy Judging event. Allison placed second in the event and will take part in the Tennessee FFA Dairy Handling Event to be held in September at the Tennessee State Fair. A memorial service for Edith Pearl Fredrickson, age 85, of Shelbyville, will be held 5:p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Ron DeWitt and Reverend Larry Cornett officiating. Her ashes will be buried at a later date at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Mrs. Fredrickson died early Wednesday morning, at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. at the church. Arrangements: Doak-Howell Funeral Home.
