'Nevermore' (Features ~ 07/06/19)
The musical “Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe” will be presented July 19, 20, 26, 27 and 28 at The Fly Arts Center on South Main Street. The musical depicts a fictionalized version of Poe’s last days, as he looks back on his life and career. Jonathan Rodriguez (right) stars as Poe. Show times are 7 p.m. for Friday and Saturday performances, 2 p.m. for the Sunday, July 28 matinee. Tickets can be purchased at http://flyartscenter.tix.com. -

Lynn and I recently flew up to North Dakota for the northern memorial service for my sister-in-law, Eileen. She had been suffering with COPD for years, and she passed away at her winter home in Florida this past March. Her daughter, Claire, and Florida friends and family held a southern memorial service shortly after Eileen's death...

Nashville is situated in such a great location and, thanks to Southwest, there are many destinations that can be reached in just a couple hours of a direct flight. I used to hate flying and felt terrified as soon as the wheels lifted from the ground, but over the years I've become accustomed to it, and honestly, sometimes I even enjoy it.
