T-shirts benefit cancer victims (Local News ~ 10/14/19)
The Shelbyville Police Benevolent Association is selling T-shirts, with all funds being donated to Bedford Cancer Foundation. The shirts’ logo was designed by Maj. Pat Mathis of the Shelbyville Police Department. Displaying the shirts are police personnel, from left, Officer Darrell Birdsong, Office Manager Kim Nash, Detective Carol Jean and Mathis. The shirts can be purchased weekdays in the front lobby of police headquarters on Lane Parkway. -
Boyette joins Craig & Wheeler (Business ~ 10/14/19)
Jason Boyette has joined Craig & Wheeler Realty & Auction as an agent. Boyette was born and raised in Shelbyville and is a graduate of Shelbyville Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University. He’s a lifelong resident of Bedford County and is in his 21st year as a teacher, currently teaching fifth grade social studies and science at Thomas Magnet School. Surveyor group elects officers (Business ~ 10/14/19)
Tennessee Association of Professional Surveyors held its change of officers on Sept. 28 at the Inn at Opryland in Nashville. Russell White of Unionville will serve as a director representing Middle Tennessee. The incoming executive Committee includes President Ashley Rose-Nalin of Tullahoma; Vice-President Mario Forte of Chattanooga; Secretary/Treasurer Brennon Garrett of Gatlinburg; National Society of Professional Surveyors Director Bart Crattie of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, and Past President John Winter of Knoxville. East Tennessee directors are Brian Bartlett, Steve Abbott, Adam Schmeing, Michael Coulliette, Len Tusar and Mike Stump.
