Today is George Washimgton's 288th birthday. He was born clear back in 1732. I wonder what he would say if he could drop in on the United States today. There have certainly been more changes than I think he could have imagined in that time span. Everyone knows the stories about Washington chopping down the cherry tree and "I cannot tell a lie," but there was so much more to this man who is often referred to as the Father of Our Country...

Light snowfall blankets Middle Tennessee

Up to an inch of snow fell in the Chestnut Ridge area of southern Bedford County on Thursday and three inches of snow fell over eastern White County and also eastern Putnam and western Cumberland counties. The remainder of northern Middle Tennessee generally reported an inch or two. Most of the weekend is looking good with some sunshine and warmer, 52 degrees for the high temperatures. Rain chances come back starting Sunday night and carry us into Tuesday...
