George Edward Morgan Sr., 77, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Palmetto, Florida after succumbing to a short illness that involved complications from COVID-19. He was the brother of Joann Rodriquez of Shelbyville. He will be buried in Syracuse, New York at a later date.

A former Shelbyville Central track star is making the most of her COVID-19 quarantine back home in Shelbyville, working out in preparation for the 2021 Olympic Trails. Kethlin Campbell, currently a junior standout at NCAA champion Arkansas, had qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trails this summer, but the Tokyo Summer Games have been postponed until next summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic...
