County offices to reopen next week

Gregory Mill Road residents get birds-eye view of storms (Local News ~ 05/05/20)
Bill Gregory said while Sunday night’s wind storm was quick and apparently mighty at times out toward his farm on Gregory Mill Road, it was actually minor in comparison to last Tuesday’s which split a large tree in a nearby field and damaged a portion of his back porch. While at his barn feeding his cows Monday morning, Gregory talked over the fence about how there was another storm forecast for Monday night, one which he hoped would take a different direction and stay away from his road... -

Big blow (Local News ~ 05/05/20)
Part of the Times-Gazette’s roof landed in an alley behind the building as high winds — referred to by the National Weather Service as a “gust front” blew through Bedford County late Sunday afternoon. A gust of 60 mph was reported by Bedford County Emergency Management Agency.
