Looks like it’s going to be a hot one across Middle Tennessee for the next week with temperatures in the low 90s on most afternoons and dropping into the upper 60s at night. It will be a typical summer pattern with partly cloudy skies and a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms a possibility, about 30 percent except for Sunday which I see 50 percent. Rainfall across Bedford County in June ranged from 4 to 5 and 1/2 inches which is close to normal...

The “godfather of Tennessee whiskey,” is reported to be Nathan Nearest Green and his stature is being celebrated in Bedford County. A barn at the Uncle Nearest Distillery is the second building undergoing an extensive renovation at the site.
