One of Bell Buckle’s oldest residents succumbed this week. What was left of an ancient willow oak tree at the corner of Main Street and Cumberland Street in Bell Buckle was cut down. A large portion of the tree fell during a storm on June 30 this year. In 2010 it was named “Most Notable Tree,” and is believed to be one of the oldest trees in Bell Buckle. -
