FUMC men donate to law enforcement

The United Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville have raised funds to thank personnel of the Shelbyville Police Department and Bedford County Sheriff’s Office for their hard work and sacrifices. Each of the 50 Bedford County deputies will receive a box lunch prepared by River Bend Country Club. The 59 members of the Shelbyville Police Department will each receive a $35 gift certificate through the Police Benevolent Association...

Quilt of Valor (Features ~ 11/21/20)
Ronnie Segroves says he enjoys attending such events as the Shelbyville Veterans Parade, where he can honor those who served their country. He was honored himself recently with a Quilt of Valor for his service from 1966-1968 in the U.S. Army. The veteran served a year in Vietnam, where he worked in artillery. -

New changes are coming, due to COVID-19, at Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library, which enters into Phase III on Monday. The idea of a holiday swing dance in the tiny community of Normandy started at a recent ladies coffee one morning, according to resident Jackie Smith. Unexpected visitor walks into wrong home
