Angel Albarran was born and passed from this life Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at Tennova Heathcare-Harton. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Ron DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.

William Vernell Underwood, 75, of Eagleville died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was the brother of Bobby (Barbara) Underwood of Bell Buckle. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, with Bro. Jeff Hollingshead officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Glade Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday. In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, the family requests all visitors to please wear a mask if possible.

Beginning Thursday, Community High School went to all virtual due to rising COVID cases with students and faculty. The school plans to return to in-person on Monday, Dec. 14, school superintendent Don Embry said Wednesday. Harris Middle will remain all virtual until Monday.
