Elizabeth Hale Morfitt, 94, who grew up in Flat Creek and graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 1944, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Caldwell, Idaho, after a brief illness. Her wish was to return to Tennessee where she will be buried at Rosebank Cemetery in Flat Creek.

Virginia K. Black Banks, 89, of Manchester passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Manchester Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 30 at Gowen-Smith Chapel with Jeff Curtis officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. After the services, per her request, she will be cremated.

Thomas Richard Meeks, 72, of Shelbyville died Sunday, December 27th, 2020. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 1st, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Rev. Mark Rosson officiating. Family asks that masks be worn and social distancing practiced. No visitation is scheduled. Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Karen Kay Baker, 59, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at St. Thomas Rutherford. A memorial service will be held at a later date when the pandemic has subsided. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Helen Marie Steele, age 91, passed from this life early Monday morning, December 28, 2020, following a brief battle with kidney disease. A private graveside service was scheduled at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN. Doak-Howell Funeral Home is serving the family.
