Community Junior High's Vikings and Viqueens both picked up end-of-the-regular-season wins against Middle Tennessee Christian in Unionville Monday night.

The Vikings pulled out a 40-29 victory after the Viqueens again won a last minute nail-biter, 24-23.

Wylder Norris hit for 10 of his game-leading 13 points in the first half as Community's boys started hot. The Vikings led 7-4 at the end of the first period, pushed it to 19-12 at halftime and 29-18 after three quarters.

Heather Small banked for five of her six points in the first half for Community. Kayla Beck added four of her total -- and team-leading -- 10 tallies to help the Viqueens keep a lead until halftime. Community led 8-7, 15-14 at the half and 19-18 at the end of the third. During the last quarter each team tossed a one point lead back and forth.
