Champs go for 2 in row
Back-to-back wins. That's what Cascade's Champions will be playing for when they take the field Friday night in a Region 6A contest against Columbia Academy.
It's homecoming for the Champions with festivities beginning at 6:30.
"It's homecoming and there's been a lot going on and we want the guys to enjoy this week, but we've tried to emphasize the importance of staying focused and told them it's their job to take care of business on the field Friday night," Cascade coach Kenny Parker remarked.
Injuries remain one of the key issues for the Champions, with a number of players still hampered by one type or another. "We've got ankle injuries, finger injuries, wrist injuries and our quarterback David Gallagher apparently even suffered a concussion in the second half of last week's game but seems to have recovered from it," Parker said.
With all these injuries, the coaching staff has had to move a few players around to a few new spots in order to create some depth. "We've really never been that deep at any position but now we're really thin," Parker added.
