Bell Buckle Motorcycle Days is set for Saturday, May 20, with food, entertainment and a lot of motorcycles moving through the streets.
Organizers said that state Sen. Jim Tracy was instrumental in getting the official state designation for the event.
General admission will be $10, which includes food and entertainment, while the poker run gate pass will be $20 for a T-shirt, the run, plus food and entertainment.
The ride will be leaving Bumpus Harley-Davidson and Sloan's Motorcycle and ATV Supercenter in Murfreesboro at 9 a.m. with the first bikes out for the poker run at 10 a.m..
A Barbecue lunch catered by the Bell Buckle Cafe will be served at 1 p.m. with a concert by Midnight Special on the Captain Rodney's Stage kicking off at the same time.
At 3 p.m., the last bike will be in from the poker run, which is also the deadline for bike show entries. The poker run awards presentation will be at 3:30 p.m. and the bike show awards presentation is set for 4 p.m..
After the final awards, Captain Rodney will be serving his famous gumbo.
There is a $10 entry fee for the bike show, which will include seven different classes. Full custom covers any make or year custom bike with major changes such as the engine, frame or front end and includes completely fabricated machines.
Mild custom class is any make or year with original engine, frame or front end, manufactured custom covers any bike built by a franchised company such as Harley CVO, Big Dog and Bourget.
The sport bike class is for any make or year designed for aggressive performance style riding and the classic class is for bikes manufactured before 1983 but not prior to 1960.
Antique class is for any make of motorcycle built before 1960 that is near stock configuration. The trike/side car class is for any make of three-wheeled motorcycle.
