Funeral services for Sammie L. Blanton, 84, of Longview, who died Tuesday evening in Shelbyville after an extended illness, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill with the Rev. Chris Harris and the Rev. Charles Melvin Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Pressgrove Cemetery.
