Sara Chavez Aguilar, 33, Smith Street, allegedly used the name of a California woman to obtain employment at Sanford Corp., Detective Sgt. Jason Williams of the Shelbyville Police Department said.
Aguilar stole the identity of Angelica Ortega, Orange, Calif., Williams said. She had a forged resident alien card and three forged Social Security cards when arrested.
Williams began the local investigation after Orange police detective Craig Koki was notified of the identity theft.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer for Middle Tennessee placed a "hold" on Aguilar, who will be deported, Williams said.
Thefts, burglaries
Four guns were taken during the burglary of a Warners Bridge Road home Sunday of last week, according to a Bedford County Sheriff's Department report released Friday.
Entry to Bryon Gashaw's home was gained by breaking door glass.
Other thefts and burglaries reported to area authorities:
*Stereo equipment owned by Tony R. King was stolen from his truck between 2:30-5:45 p.m. Wednesday.
*Two inflatable Halloween items -- a globe and car -- were stolen from the yard of the Donnie Frank Jones Sr. residence, Midland Road, between 9-11:30 p.m. Monday.
*A new central air unit was taken between Oct. 17-31 at a home on Clem Circle owned by Fuller Neely of Shelbyville.
*Electrical wire was stolen from under the home of Timothy Wayne McAnally, Burnt Hill Road, during the day Monday, leaving several room without power.
*David Gordon Reid Jr., Warners Bridge Road, said a gas grill was taken from outside his home between 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday.
*A purse belonging to Emily L. Shavers of Shelbyville was stolen from her parked car Wednesday on Shoma Drive.

They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.

*Steven Maurice Moore, 20, Courtland Drive; domestic assault, resist stop/frisk/halt/search, disorderly conduct; held, $5,500 bond
*Wesley Barrett Goodman, 25, East Lane Street; statutory rape; held, $20,000 bond
*Carole Hargett, 61, Southwood Lane; violation check law; released, $2,000 bond
*Tolandra Sibhon Allison, 27, Anthony Lane; assault; released, $500 bond
*William Jerry Williams II, 48, Longwood Drive; vandalism, domestic assault; released, $3,500 bond
*John Lee Turrentine, 42, Chockley Street; public intoxication; held, $500 bond
